Our Philosophy

At Emanuel Lopes Studio,we focus on the patience of touch. We believe wood is a living entity that requires the patience of touch to reveal its hidden beauty. We move away from industrial coldness to deliver objects that vibrate with the warmth of handcrafted mastery.

The Finish: Shellac

Our signature is the feel. We use the traditional Shellac technique, applied entirely by hand, to create an organic and deep surface.

• Silk to the Touch: A finish that never "plasticizes" the wood, but embraces it.

• Natural Light: A glow that emanates from within the grain, impossible to replicate in a factory.

We create Functional Art for spaces that demand soul. From the noble grains of Walnut to the surprising sophistication of Pine, every piece is unique—designed to be the sensory centerpiece of any interior project.

Each piece is handcrafted using traditional French polishing with natural shellac, creating depth, warmth, and a refined finish.

I also restore and refinish wooden pieces, bringing new life through the same techniques. Custom mirrors can be commissioned in bespoke sizes and styles.
